Lapwings

I first saw a lapwing when on my walking holiday in the
i was excited but was not  able to get any pictures but when i when i went to birdfair this year i also saw some and was able to get some pictures.
Featured imageFeatured imageFeatured imageFeatured imageThey are one of my  favourite birds if you have ever seen them fly you will see them tumbling its amazing to watch. They are also known as peewits because of their display calls, its proper name describes its tumbling flight. Its black and white appearance and round winged shape when flying make it distinctive, even without its brilliant crest.
